RunScore 8.3.7.3 addresses critical stability issues including race-closure crashes, ghost processes in Task Manager, Live Results navigation failures, and listing file exception handling.

This release also adds configuration improvements for events, external timers, ignored chip reads, and the installer package.

Bug Fixes​

  • RS-1199 — Race Closure and Ghost Application: Improved thread and socket shutdown so listening threads terminate gracefully and no ghost process remains in Task Manager.
  • RS-1378 — Live Results and Navigation: Fixed "device not ready" errors and empty-screen navigation issues by adding a proper results class copy constructor.
  • RS-1384 — Listing File Exceptions: Application now reports exceptions instead of crashing due to buffer overflow in exception messages.
  • RS-1389 — Team Score Export: Team score exports now correctly start from 1st place instead of 2nd.

Improvements​

  • RS-1305 — Pre-Event NONE Option: Users can set pre-event to "NONE" via Tools → Miscellaneous → Edit list of Events.
  • RS-1377 — Installer Race Templates: Added missing races including the XCAthleticNet race to the installer package.
  • RS-1381 — External Timers: Increased supported external timers from 4 to 8.
  • RS-1386 — View Ignored Chip Reads: Users can review ignored chip reads with bib, event, reason, and raw data via Miscellaneous → View/Edit Ignored Chips.
  • RS-1387 — Persistent Start/Stop Flags: External timer Start/Stop selections persist when auto-enable on start-up is enabled.
