Announce Event

Syntax​

Announce Event      event_name

Parameters​

  • event_name: The name of the event (e.g., TIME) to monitor for new results.

Description​

Automatically feeds new results from a specified event to the Announce screen as they are added.

Remarks​

This command puts the Announce screen into an automatic mode, polling the specified event once per second for new finishers. When a new result appears, it is displayed on the Announce screen as if the bib number had been manually entered. This feature works on both RSServer and RSClient.

This command is event-based, therefore SELECT will not work.

warning

When you designate an Announce Event, you still need to include a separate Event command in the listing file if you want to display any information about that event (like the finisher's time).

Examples​

To have the Announce screen automatically display finishers as they are added to the TIME event:
