Introduction
RunScore connects to clock-based external timers over a serial (RS-232 or USB-to-serial) port or TCP/IP. Set up the connection in the Initialize External Timers dialog — see Initialize External Timers for menu paths. Once connected, the timer feeds times in the background while you continue working normally.
Initialize External Timers Dialog
Every clock-based or chip/tag device — whether it is listed under External Timers or Chip/Bib Timing — is wired up from the same dialog. Depending on your menu layout, open it from either:
Macsha
Macsha's One4All system is a chip/tag (RFID) protocol, not a clock. It's documented here under External Timers — not Chip/Bib Timing — to match the Macsha entry in the Device dropdown and the built-in Help. (Carmen is placed here for the same reason.)
Time Machine
The Time Machine, by Flying Feet Computer Services, is an external race clock. LightBox Timing Clock (LIGHTBOX) uses the exact same protocol — RunScore remaps it internally to Time Machine's handling, so pick whichever Device name matches your hardware's label; behavior is identical.
