Event To Database

Syntax

Event to Database
Event event_name
Database Field field_for_time
[Command]
Database Field field_for_command_result
...

Parameters

  • event_name: The source event whose data will be moved.
  • field_for_time: The database field where the event time will be stored.
  • field_for_command_result: The database field where the result of the optional command will be stored.

Description

Moves event-related information (time, place, pace, division place, etc.) from an event into specified fields in the database.

Remarks

This is useful for creating results suitable for mailing (like postcards sorted by ZIP code) or for storing calculated values needed for series scoring. You can store the result of these commands:

  • Time and place: EVENT, PLACE, TIME DIFFERENCE, TOTAL DIFFERENCE
  • Pace and points: PACE, RATE, POINTS
  • Divisions: DIVISION PLACE, DIVISION TOTAL, DIV WINNING TIME
  • Age grading: AGE GRADE, AGE GRADE PERCENT, PERFORMANCE FACTOR
  • Teams: TEAM PLACE, TEAM POSITION
  • Laps: DISTANCE COMPLETED, LAPS COMPLETED
  • PACK TIME: the pack leader's time (see Pack Time), not the rider's own finish time

This command cannot be used with Combine Events; use Merge Events first if needed.
