Page Length

Syntax

Page Length number

Parameters

  • number: How many lines each page of Page Length output takes up; 1 or more. A value below 1 shows the Error message "PAGE LENGTH must be >= 1": press OK to continue with the default of 66 lines, or Cancel to stop the listing without output. If the number is left off, RunScore asks for it when the listing runs.

Description

Page Length sets how many lines each page of a listing takes up. RunScore adds blank lines after every page except the last until the page reaches Page Length lines, so each page starts Page Length lines after the one before. Without Page Length, pages are 66 lines.

Records/Page decides where a page ends; Page Length never moves records to another page.

Remarks

  • The last page gets no blank lines.
  • A large Page Length does not make output continuous: pages still end every Records/Page records, and Page Length fills each one with blank lines.

Examples

Pages of 20 lines, 10 records each:
