Decoders
Each decoder/mat that feeds Live Predictive Tracking (LPT) must sit at the same location as that LPT split: same Race Roster segment distance, same RunScore event.
The listing Field Header must equal the Race Roster segment name. The event distance must match that segment, including at the mat/decoder. Event names can differ. One mismatch and that checkpoint does not drive tracking.
Times land in the Results screen for that event. The start mat will see extra reads (people near the antenna) and can miss a chip when the field floods after the gun. Point the decoder at the start event anyway, then copy a filtered read into a database field — RunScore setup. Splits further down the course are usually clean.
Connect hardware through Init → Initialize External Timers. Device list and port setup: External Timers and Initialize External Timers. Chip/bib mats (not clocks): Chip/Bib Timing.
Assign each reader to the matching event (Mat / Gator / Box, or the vendor's equivalent) in the Event Editor — Enter/Edit Results. Capturing times: Race Results.
Anything not covered there: the decoder vendor manual.
The decoder still writes the start event, each split event, and Finish. The JSON listing should use the fields you copied, not the raw start event. Empty field → empty JSON cell until they get there.
